The Ivy League Womens Youth Barbershop Chorus

The IVY League is an exciting youth chorus which welcomes members aged 8-30, whether you have lots of barbershop experience or none. Our enthusiastic members enjoy top-quality coaching from experts from the UK and the US, as well as the chance to take on leading roles within the chorus. We meet every few months to rehearse in Birmingham/Coventry and we perform regularly at shows around the country.

In 2009 we held our own show 'High on Harmony' in Leicester. In 2010 we spent an excellent retreat weekend in Lincoln, thanks to BABS' Harmony Lincs Club. We had coaching from Finesse - The UK LABBS & Sweet Adelines Region 31 Champion Quartet. We also enjoyed performing at The Sage in Gateshead as part of Sweet Adelines Region 31 Covention, Harrogate International Convention Centre as part of BABS' Convention & Venue Cymru in Llandudno as part of LABBS Convention.

In 2011 is another big year for the IVY League. This is the first year the chorus is run completely 'by the girls...for the girls'. So many of our girls are quartet & chorus medalists too!

We've just come back from a fantastic weekend in Birmingham at the Sweet Adelines Region 31 convention where we recieved a standing ovation for our performance on the Show of Champions and many of our girls sang with Young Women in Harmony on the Sunday.

The IVY League is financially supported by donations from LABBS and Sweet Adelines Quartet of Nations as well as generous support from barbershop clubs, quartets and individuals around the country.
